Judith Berman Brandenburg, Professor of Psychology and Education in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology, and the first woman to hold the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty (1985-1994) at Teachers College, died on Sunday morning, January 26th. She was 61 years old.

Originally educated as a social-organizational psychologist (Ph.D., University of Texas, Austin) Warner Burke, Professor of Psychology and Education, was named the Edward Lee Thorndike Professor of Psychology and Education by Teachers College President Arthur Levine, at the last meeting of the faculty for the fall semester.

On Thanksgiving Day, Teachers College held its second annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner in the cafeteria. The event was organized by staff members from the Office of Housing and Residence Life with assistance and co-sponsorship from the Office of Diversity and Community and the Student Life Center. More than 100 people attended.
